Nicola Crawford

Nicola Crawford – is BRG’s Director Integrated Risk & Governance. She is a risk based strategist with over 15 years experience in risk and strategic management, corporate governance and compliance, nationally and internationally; public and private sector.

Like all BRG team members, Nicola demonstrates a practical ability to move between strategic and operational contexts – to place key business issues on the boardroom table or provide training at the business coalface. These skills are exhibited through her experience in governance reviews, strategic risk profiling, lecturing in eCommerce, facilitation services, establishing and implementing risk and compliance frameworks, operational risk reviews and business continuity planning.

Nicola is also an active participant in the development of the Risk Management profession, having planned and delivered innovative risk and security conferences and as a past Chapter President of ARIMA Victoria (now RMIA) and Forums such as the Victorian Business Continuity Network Forum. This is evidenced by her numerous invitations to address International Risk Management and Business Continuity seminars. Here, Nicola has gained the requisite knowledge of global trends in contemporary Risk Management practice across diverse industries and organizations and she willingly shares this with her colleagues and clients.

Nicola is a Certified Practicing Risk Manager (CPRM) and was educated in South Africa and the UK, obtained a degree at Victoria University Wellington, New Zealand in social policy and statistics. She has also undertaken postgraduate study in Health Economics, as well as a number of shorter business and other professional training courses.
